Practice Description:
Joel S. Hirschtritt is one of the firm's founding partners. He is the Managing Partner of the firm and the Chairman of our Personal Representation Department. Joel also has extensive experience as a real estate lawyer. In over thirty years of practice he has counseled a broad array of clients from substantial individuals, family offices, entrepreneurs and businesses, negotiating complex transactions and guiding clients through unknown territory including employment contracts, estate planning and philanthropy. Joel has good judgment, broad business experience, and excellent negotiating skills.
Joel resolves complex issues and problems in practical ways. Having clerked for a Federal Court Judge, Joel understands litigation, when it is appropriate and how to use it. He works closely with our Litigation Department and is frequently responsible for litigation strategy and successful settlements.
Joel is also the President of a prominent cooperative in which he resides with his family.
Joel has been selected for inclusion in New York SuperLawyers for 2007 and 2008.
