Practice Description:
Stacey counsels employers in all aspects of employment law and employee relations including selecting, training, managing and terminating employees; complying with wage and hour laws; preventing, investigating and responding to discrimination and harassment complaints; accommodating applicants and employees with disabilities; administering family and medical leave plans; conducting background checks, substance abuse testing and workplace investigations; and resolving workplace disputes. She advises clients on handling day to day personnel issues in compliance with federal, state and local employment and labor laws, including, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, COBRA and the Fair Labor Standards Act. She regularly reviews and drafts employee handbooks, employee policies and procedures, employment agreements, executive compensation agreements, commission agreements, separation agreements and releases, and non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements.
Stacey has also negotiated and drafted documentation in connection with a broad range of general corporate matters for privately held companies, including stock purchases, asset purchases, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, contractor and subcontractor arrangements and distribution agreements.
