chaired his annual program on Product Distribution and Marketing, in Charleston, South Carolina March 18-20, 2009. The program covers all aspects of distribution and marketing law, from antitrust and franchise law to intellectual property and international distribution, and addresses practical issues such as drafting distribution contracts and negotiating and litigating distribution disputes. This year's program addressed developments following the Supreme Court's landmark 2007 decision in the
Leegin case, which overturned the century-
old per se rule against resale price maintenance. In addition to planning and chairing the entire program, Drew spoke on the subjects of e-commerce and Internet distribution, drafting distribution contracts, business franchise laws and legal compliance, and participated on panels addressing acquisitions in the distribution context, distribution disputes, and ethical issues that arise in distribution practice.
